Colum Consultants Inc. helps organizations in Atlantic Canada successfully grow through increasing revenue. In this position, you will have the opportunity to be at the forefront of some of the innovative work happening in Atlantic Canada.
Reporting to: President and CEO
Duties & Responsibilities
Prospect funding opportunities including prospective donors, corporate sponsors, and grants from foundations and government.
Help organizations grow their revenue by securing grants, corporate sponsorships, and donations.
Prepare proposals by researching internal and external data of our varied clients and gain their input.
Help organizations develop and track key metrics to attract future funders.
Track proposals and timelines for a variety of clients to ensure deadlines are met.
Prepare funding reports that meet the standards and templates provided by Colum Consultants Inc.
Support other Colum Consultants Inc. team members to ensure clients’ SR&ED claims are completed appropriately and within given timelines.
Provide a positive experience to our clients.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline, such as business, communications, journalism, or other humanities. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
Excellent communication skills including written, public speaking, and interpersonal
Ability to manage competing deadlines
Proficient in grant writing, funding applications, and proposal development
Capacity to work independently
Respect for confidentiality, including adherence to ethical standards of fundraising
Active listener with the ability to grasp abstract or complex concepts and explain them in more general terms
Detail oriented
Assets:
Passion for community impact
Willingness to learn
Bilingualism (French and English)
Curiosity
Familiarity with funding models in the innovation sector, eg. IRAP program, SR&ED
Salary Range:
$45,000.00-$55,000.00 annually
